PBS Kids

PBS Kids is the brand for most of the children's programming aired by Public Broadcasting Service (PBS) in the United States. Some public television children's programming are not produced by PBS member stations or transmitted by PBS, which are instead produced by independent public television broadcasters. It was one of the four owners of PBS Kids Sprout, alongside Comcast, Sesame Workshop, and HiT Entertainment.

The channel aired Thomas & Friends' American spin-off series "Shining Time Station" from 1989 until its cancellation, which was produced by The Britt Allcroft Company (a subsidiary of HIT Entertainment since July 2002) and Quality Family Entertainment. HiT Entertainment signed a deal with PBS to bring Thomas & Friends on PBS Kids in 2004. Another deal was signed by HiT which allowed Wishbone to be broadcast on PBS Kids on the PBS Kids GO! block. Thomas stopped airing on PBS Kids in January 2018, and was moved to Nick Jr. in the United States. This channel also aired Bob the Builder starting 2005 and its reboot (starting in 2015) in the United States until November 2018. Some time in 2017 to 2018, Wishbone was also removed from any remaining PBS stations following PBS loosing broadcasting rights to the show from Mattel.
