Fireman Sam is a Welsh/British comedy children's series created by Rob Lee with the original idea from David Gingell and David Jones. It follows the adventures of Fireman Sam Jones and his fellow firefighters in the fictional welsh town of PontyPandy. Fireman Sam is everyone's favorite Hero Next Door and often saves naughty Norman Price from trouble.
The series was originally produced by Bumper Films and co-owned by Bumper Films and S4C International. Sometime in 2000, Bumper Films was sold to Gullane Entertainment, who worked with S4C and promised a new series. In July 2002, HIT Entertainment acquired Gullane for approx £140-million, and produced the future of Fireman Sam content.
